SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Collegiate anglers attending the 10th Anniversary BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s will have the opportunity to win over $5,000 in prizes in the Yamaha Angler Appreciation night through Yamaha powered Ranger Boats test rides and a cast for cash flippin’ contest.

“This year’s 10th Anniversary BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship will prove to be one of the most exciting and challenging tournaments to date,” said David Ittner, Tournament and Pro Staff Manager for Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A.  “We’re excited to celebrate together with such a great group of anglers. Let the competition begin!”

Yamaha Angler Appreciation night will take place on Tuesday, May 19th at 4:00pm. Anglers will be greeted with the opportunity to win $5,000 in prizes in a cast for cash flippin’ contest, an all you can eat pizza buffet, which will be a whole lot of pizza – perfect for college students! Anglers will also be able to take a ride in Ranger Boats powered by Yamaha Outboards with the opportunity to win prizes just for taking a test ride!

During the Yamaha Angler Appreciation night anglers will be able to compete in a casting and flippin’ contest set up around the McFarland Park venue where anglers can win over $5,000 in prizes! Anglers will be using brand new Abu Garcia rods and reels to compete around a flippin’ course set up to put your casting skills to the test. The anglers will be coached throughout the casting course by some of Yamaha’s top touring professional anglers while the pros will also be giving fishing seminars later in the evening on lake conditions and tips through Yamaha’s “Maintenance Matters” program.
