National Walleye Tour Announces BoatU.S. Contingency Program

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – The Cabela’s National Walleye Tour (NWT) and the Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatU.S.) will offer anglers even more ways to win in 2016 with the announcement of a new bonus program, designed to reward anglers with BoatU.S. memberships at each NWT regular season event.

Beginning with the season opener on Lake Erie, scheduled for April 21-22, BoatU.S. will award two (2) $100 Visa gift cards to randomly drawn anglers with BoatU.S. Unlimited Trailer Assist memberships.

To be eligible to win, anglers must have an active BoatU.S. membership with Unlimited Trailer Assistance. Membership must be valid on date of tournament and can be purchased for $38. Visit BoatUS.com to join, renew or upgrade any BoatU.S. membership.

As BoatU.S. members, NWT anglers will have access to the nation’s largest on-the-water towing service with over 600 towboats standing by to assist at over 300 locations across the country. Members also benefit from 25 other BoatU.S. services, including discounts at more than 1,000 businesses and marinas as well as a subscription to BoatU.S. Magazine.

With Unlimited Trailer Assist, members also receive access to around-the-clock service providing roadside towing assistance for both the boat trailer and tow vehicle, as well as no-cost labor for flat tire delivery, fuel delivery, lock out assistance or jump-start service.

“Tournament anglers are oftentimes all too familiar with the unexpected challenges of towing a boat and spending time on the road,” said BoatU.S. Program Coordinator Dustin King. “Luckily BoatU.S. has a solution with the Unlimited Trailer Assist program – an ideal fit for NWT anglers and a perfect way to increase peace of mind and security for just $38 a year. We’re excited to market the program to NWT anglers and provide even more ways to win during 2016 events.”

Since its founding in 1966, BoatU.S. has also worked to provide quality service, savings and representation to the recreational boating community. Today BoatU.S. stands as the nation’s most powerful advocate for advancing the interests of boaters everywhere.

The Cabela’s NWT will begin the 2016 season April 21 on Lake Erie and will include a total of three qualifying events, plus a year-end championship. Official registration for all events will begin in January, both online and by phone. The NWT website offers numerous details on the circuit, including official rules, tournament structure, payout and incentives.

All NWT events will deliver 100% payback. A fully rigged Ranger Boat, plus cash, is guaranteed for first place at each event – a minimum total value of $57,000. Multiple contingency programs are available for even higher payout. Anglers that fish all three regular-season events, in addition to the top points leaders, will qualify for the three-day, entry-fee championship.

The Cabela’s National Walleye Tour also includes unmatched television and media coverage, allowing a national audience to watch the action unfold from each event throughout the season. Airing on multiple networks, the NWT will be seen on the Pursuit Channel, NBC Sports Network, Fox Sports Net North, Comcast Chicago and the World Fishing Network.
