Cabela’s Deer Gear TV – Garmin Xero Bow Sight Roundtable

In this episode of Cabela’s Deer Gear TV, it has been one year since Garmin introduced the Xero Bow Sight to the world. As they look back at the impressive one year anniversary that the Garmin Xero has had, Wade Middleton, Clark Wendlandt, and Michael Wersig reflect on their first impressions, their likes, and dislikes, and why this has become such a revolutionary part of bowhunting.

Garmin’s very own Rehan Nana will reintroduce the Xero Bow Sight and go over how it incorporates both range finding technology and the bow sight into one which takes the guesswork out for you. There will be no more guessing; all that you will need to do is make the shot. This bow will give you precise yardage and it will compensate for any angles. Once you have made your shot it will tell you how much you missed your target, and from there you just need to readjust for your next shot. With the feedback and the accurate measurements of your range and sight it will deliver precise shooting each time.

Then Wade, Clark, and Michael will go over their likes, dislikes, and their overall impressions of the Garmin Xero after using it for the past year. With Garmin being the leader in technology, this bow sight is top of the line when it comes to finding your pin and range, because all of that is taken care for you. With that being said, you still have to get out in the field to practice getting use to how the Garmin Xero is built and designed. Once you have become familiar with it, you’re golden. Tune into this episode to learn more about Garmin’s Xero bow sight.

Fishing & Hunting Texas – Fishing Vegetation Year Round

In this episode of Fishing & Hunting Texas, host Clark Wendlandt is out on the water as he goes over some tips and tricks for fishing vegetation year round. Now, bass love grass, and looking at grass you need to picture how a bass would set up in such spot. Trying to figure out if the bass will be at the top, middle, or bottom is the tricky part when fishing in this type of situation.

Some tips when it comes to the question of where they will be (top, middle, bottom) will depend on the time of year. Usually at the peak of spring the water temperatures are still pretty cool, so you will more than likely find the fish at the top of the grass getting all the warmth from the sun. Now, other times they want to be at the bottom and that’s where you just have the play with the fish and see where they are. For the cooler temperatures during the winter, you’ll often find the fish in matted areas where there’s a lot of brush and grass. This is where they like to spend most of their time so they can stay warmer in those cooler months. When you’re at the right area, matted or your grassy areas, in the right time of year you are going to catch a lot of big bass.

Now, that you have an idea of where to find the fish, catch this episode to learn about the type and style of bait you’ll want to use in these different fishing situations.
